Description
Start Date: September 25, 2026
Location: Akron, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Every other holiday required.

- Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown setting with critically ill patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring
- Night shift schedule provides continuity of care and strong team collaboration
- Comprehensive orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments
- Opportunity for contract extensions up to 18 months based on performance and organizational needs
- Pre-start modules and annual competency training provided to support clinical excellence
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown setting
- Active Ohio RN license or current Compact state license in hand at time of application
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be active, not pending)
- NIHSS certification required
- Professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director from an assignment within the past 12 months
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (two attempts maximum)
- Completion of BCI/FBI background checks within 48 hours of contract signing
