Job Opportunity – Operating Room Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekend and holiday coverage required. Call hours include Monday-Friday 2100-0630 and Saturday/Sunday 12-hour shifts (0630-1900 and 1900-0630). Weekend requirement: 3 shifts per 13-week contract as needed.

Highlights:

• Level 1 Trauma Center with 18-bed operating room performing 45-50 surgical procedures daily
• Diverse surgical specialties including general surgery, robotic surgery, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, plastics, burns, urology, GYN, and transplant
• Epic charting system in use
• 13-week assignment with one pre-approved time off period
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
• Float requirements may apply across organizational units as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Hands-on experience with DaVinci Xi Robotic System (required)
• Liver transplant surgical experience (required)
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Neuro surgery OR Orthopedic surgery (required)
• Ophthalmology surgical experience preferred
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
