Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Women & Infant Float Pool – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Float pool assignment with call and weekend coverage required. Flexibility to work across multiple maternal and infant care units.

Highlights:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Travel assignment with local candidates accepted at the same rate

• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – valid compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in maternal/infant care
• Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
• Preferred Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, CEFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Proficiency in maternal and newborn nursing skills including labor support, postpartum care, newborn assessment, high-risk antepartum management, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Ability to float between Labor & Delivery, Maternal Special Care, and Postpartum units
• Availability for call and weekend shifts as required
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract acceptance

Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible for travel assignments.
