Description
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 18:45 - 07:15; Every other weekend required; 48-hour per week contracts preferred; Contract length up to February 27, 2027
Highlights:
- Level 2 trauma center emergency department with approximately 170 visits per day across 53 beds
- Diverse patient population including STEMI, stroke, and trauma cases providing comprehensive emergency care experience
- Patient ratios: Non-critical 3:1, Critical 2:1, Medical boarders 5:1
- Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
- No call requirements and no floating to other units
- Comprehensive orientation period of 36-48 hours with robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more
Requirements:
- Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact state license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Required Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIHSS, MOAB, and BLS
- Required Skills: IV start, triage, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
- Experience with blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and CVA/stroke care
- Trauma experience preferred; ENPC certification preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- First-time travelers and local candidates accepted
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
