Description
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Fixed or rotating weekends included. Holidays and weekends are part of the 24/7 rotation. No call required. Flexibility is essential.
Highlights:
- Work in a Level I Trauma center specializing in cardiac, vascular, and transplant procedures
- Support a 7-room cardiovascular operating suite with diverse case mix including CABG, valve replacements, AAA repairs, heart and lung transplants, and advanced endovascular procedures
- EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide
- Scrub experience required for cardiac and vascular cases including TAVR, TEVAR, EVAR, and ventricular assist devices
- Rotating weekend coverage required to support 24/7 operations
- Care for adult and geriatric patient populations in a specialized cardiac surgical environment
Requirements:
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 3 years overall OR experience
- Minimum 2 years dedicated cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience
- Minimum 1 year CVOR scrub experience required (hard stop requirement)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac and vascular cases including heart/lung transplant, aortic aneurysm repair, CABG, laparoscopic cardiac surgery, mitral valve replacement, LVAD/RVAD, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass, and TEVAR procedures
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role

Important Compliance Information:
- Strict compliance deadline of the Tuesday prior to start date – no exceptions
- Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing
- Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible
- Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6 months or more to be eligible
- Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this location
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
