Description
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Float pool position requiring flexible scheduling; every other weekend required; patient ratios up to 1:6 on Med-Surg units; no call required
Highlights:
- Float pool position supporting multiple units including Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU
- 13-week travel assignment with 12-hour orientation
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services
- Care for adult and geriatric populations with diverse diagnoses including post-surgical, medical, and PCU stepdown patients
- Holiday requirement: work major holidays that fall during assignment period per facility policy
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active Georgia or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Experience with patient ratios of 4-6 patients preferred
- Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, ventilated patient care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip management and titration
- Skills in IV insertion and maintenance, PICC line management, feeding tube care, and heparin protocols
- Community hospital and trauma level experience preferred
- Must be flexible with scheduling; no schedule requests can be accommodated due to float pool requirements
- Full compliance required to start on time; late compliance results in two-week delay
- Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
