Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – South Texas**Start Date:** September 28, 2026
**Location:** Coastal South Texas
**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants
**Schedule:** 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, call may be utilized on scheduled shifts when census allows**Highlights:**- 24-bed critical care unit with 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios depending on acuity- Advanced critical care environment with specialized equipment including vents, Swans, Impellas, and balloon pumps- Opportunity to participate in complex procedures: intubation, central lines, bronchoscopy, EVDs, ICP monitoring, Swan placement, pacers, and bolts- Structured team approach with Charge Nurse, RN staff, and unit support personnel on each shift- Royal blue scrubs required- May float to Doctors ICU as needed**Requirements:**- Active RN license or eligibility to practice in Texas- BLS and ACLS certification required- ICU experience is mandatory – candidates without ICU experience will not be considered- Level 1 or 2 trauma center experience preferred- Cardiovascular surgery experience preferred- Excellent customer service and communication skills**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity ICU environment with advanced technology and complex patient populations. Pros

2:1, 1:1 if pt is in active labor they try to follow awhonn standards when possible. Flexible with schedule will do block schedule.

Cons

Only thing they will float travelers to antepartum or assign pp pts on hold in L&D unit more frequently instead of rotating the nurses.
