Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Salisbury, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants (local candidates within 50 miles may receive adjusted rates)

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required, 36-bed unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios

Highlights:

• Med-Surg/Telemetry unit caring for diverse patient diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, hip fractures, and general surgery cases
• 13-week contract with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Epic EMR and Pyxis medication management systems
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more
• Must be willing to float to all areas holding medical-surgical patients
• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved (no holidays; must work 2 of 3 major holidays)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Current North Carolina or Compact state nursing license
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Strong medical-surgical and telemetry background required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response using Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experience with IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Competency in respiratory care including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
