Description
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Northern Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time schedule with every other weekend; possible on-call coverage
Highlights:
- Work in a nationally recognized cardiovascular unit caring for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually
- Gain experience with advanced procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers
- Support post-operative open heart surgery patients and manage congestive heart failure cases
- Unit holds Silver level Beacon Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN)
- Facility recognized as a Top 50 Heart Hospital in the U.S.
- Participate in national clinical research trials managed on-site
Requirements:
- Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of Step-Down nursing experience required
- Proficiency in cardiac nursing and EKG interpretation
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed
- Completed skills checklist within one year of application
