Description
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours), night shift. Patient ratios typically 1:1 to 1:2. Float requirements apply within the organization as needed.
Highlights:
- High-acuity critical care environment specializing in multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and renal/liver failure
- EPIC electronic medical record system utilized throughout the unit
- Advanced equipment including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors and ventilators, and boom lifts in each patient room
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
- Specialized procedures including continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients
- Two pre-approved time-off requests available during assignment
Requirements:
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
- Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
- Demonstrated competency with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
- Experience with continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
