Description
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required; max 7 days PTO (blackout dates apply during Spring Break, April 4-12)
Highlights:
- 42-bed post-surgical unit caring for adults to geriatric patients
- Diverse case mix including orthopedics, urology, colorectal, bariatrics, neurology, and general surgery patients
- 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts
- Epic EMR required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication preferred
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- 24-hour paid orientation with non-billable module training
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Georgia or Compact state required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios in medical-surgical setting
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Willingness to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Full compliance documentation required to start on time
