# Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Schedule:

12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period. Self-scheduling with leadership oversight. Float and on-call requirements based on patient census.

Highlights:

- High-volume cardiac and stroke telemetry unit with 78-90 patient turnovers weekly in a fast-paced environment- Primary focus on pre/post cardiac procedures including pacemaker implantation, cardiac catheterization, TR bands, and peripheral vascular interventions- Manage cardiac drips with titration capabilities (Cardizem, Dopamine, Amiodarone) and care for stable cardiac patients- Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with team lead support for admissions and discharges- 13-26 week contract options available with 36-hour orientation (first week availability required)- Epic (Dimensions) charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support team

Requirements:

- Active North Carolina or Compact RN license- Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience with similar patient ratios and acuity- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date- Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac drip titration- Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care, TR bands, and PCI patients- Comfortable managing 6-patient assignments in a high-turnover environment- Ability to care for stroke patients (CVA/TIA) and manage multiple cardiac drips simultaneously- First-time travelers accepted; local candidates considered
