Description
Start Date: October 21, 2026 (subject to confirmation based on orientation scheduling)
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Call requirement includes 9-11 days per 6-week schedule with 1-2 weekends depending on rotation. Weekend call and callback required.
Highlights:
- Structural heart scrub experience is essential for this advanced cardiovascular position
- Work with cutting-edge procedures including TAVR, complex PCI, Impella insertion, Watchman, and Mitral Clip procedures
- Manage 3 procedure rooms in a high-acuity catheterization laboratory environment
- Electronic charting using EPIC and MAC Lab systems
- 13-week assignment with potential for extension
- Scrubs provided; minimal floating required (rare occasions to electrophysiology)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular technologist experience required
- Structural heart scrub experience is mandatory (TAVR, structural procedures)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Must hold either RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) OR ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- North Carolina state license or compact license accepted
- Demonstrated competency in scrubbing, monitoring, PA lines, and telemetry
- Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures including balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, and left/right heart catheterization
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Flexibility for orientation start day (Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of first week) with full availability during orientation period
Preferred Qualifications:
- Room circulation and IV start experience
- Conscious sedation skills
- Experience with Watchman procedures, septal closures, ablations, coil embolization, and filter placement
- EKG rhythm interpretation skills
