Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Float pool assignment with flexibility required across multiple units. Some weekends and holidays required (minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule). 1:5 patient ratio.

Requirements:

• Active Ohio RN license or valid compact license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred
• Proficiency with IV starts and telemetry monitoring essential
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing

Clinical Skills:

• Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patient care
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Blood product administration and heparin/IV insulin protocols
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care/management
• Pre/post neurosurgery and hemodialysis management
• Wound care including wound vac management
• Tracheostomy care, feeding tube management, and chest tube care (preferred)
• Care of patients with CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and renal failure
• Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
