Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts / 36 hours per week / Night shift

Highlights:

• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 providing exceptional critical care in a high-acuity MICU environment
• Work with complex cases including multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and renal/liver failure
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Advanced equipment experience including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors and ventilators
• Up to two pre-approved time-off periods available during assignment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Competency with continuous IV sedation and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
• Willingness to float to different units within the organization as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Experience with continuous glucose monitoring and specialized COVID-19 patient care protocols

• Candidates within driving distance of Ohio must travel to an in-state fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
• Former employees must have been away from the organization for 6 months or more to be eligible
• Current employees are not eligible for travel assignments at this location
