Description
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with every other weekend rotation and some holidays. Flexible scheduling options available including 4x12 or Friday-Sunday block schedules.

- 18-bed Neuroscience ICU at a Magnet-designated Comprehensive Stroke Center ranked #1 in Wisconsin
- Patient ratio of 2:1 across all shifts, caring for adult and geriatric populations
- Epic EMR system with robust interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- Specialized patient population including stroke patients (ischemic, post-thrombectomy, SAH), traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-neurosurgery patients
- Advanced critical care skills utilized including ICP monitoring, external ventricular drains (EVD), lumbar drains, hemodynamic monitoring, and hypothermia protocols
- Collaborative team environment with supportive leadership and nationally certified physicians
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Wisconsin or Compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care ICU experience within the last 3 years
- ICU experience required; neurosurgery experience strongly preferred
- Experience with ICP monitoring or ventricular drains required
- Epic EMR experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- Basic arrhythmia experience and ability to pass telemetry competency exam prior to start
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Willingness to float as needed and work with both ICU and IMC patient populations
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must reside 50+ miles from facility
