Description
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation; patient ratio of 1:5-6; holidays as needed based on assignment period
Highlights:
- 33-bed Medical Surgical/Remote Telemetry unit with average daily census of 28 patients
- Diverse patient population including diabetes management, post-operative care, wound vacs, bariatrics, and general med/surg diagnoses
- Epic EMR system required; additional experience with Pyxis and SBAR protocols
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and unit secretaries on each shift
- Advanced unit equipment including Diligent lift systems, space labs in every room, and dedicated patient experience representatives
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience; local candidates welcome
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience
- Georgia RN license or active Compact license required at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 5-6 patient ratios preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Proficiency in core skills including IV management, blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, telemetry monitoring, PCA pumps, PICC line management, chest tube care, high flow nasal cannula, and isolation precautions
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Willingness to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Full compliance required prior to start date; incomplete compliance may delay start by 2 weeks
