Description
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 19-bed oncology unit with average daily census of 15 patients. Every other weekend required. Floating may be required within the facility.
Highlights:
- Comprehensive oncology and hematology unit supporting patients from diagnosis through end-of-life care
- Manage oncologic emergencies, chemotherapy administration, pain management including morphine/dilaudid drips, and various infusion pumps (CADD, PCA)
- Epic EMR required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication preferred
- Adult to geriatric patient population with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response, and social services
- Up to 7 days of requested time off may be considered; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
- 24 hours of orientation provided; compliance must be complete to ensure timely start
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- BLS certification required
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
- Skills required: accessing and managing ports, chemotherapy administration and monitoring, central line care, blood product administration, neutropenic precautions, and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
