Job Opportunity – Medical Laboratory Scientist / Phlebotomist – Michigan

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Lapeer, Michigan

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend rotation

Highlights:

• Perform venipuncture and skin puncture techniques to collect and prepare blood samples for laboratory testing
• Enter patient and specimen information into laboratory information systems with accuracy and efficiency
• Assist medical technologists and pathologists with designated laboratory tests and procedures
• Maintain laboratory equipment and records in accordance with established accreditation guidelines and quality control standards
• Work in a team-oriented environment focused on patient safety and infection control protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) experience required
• ASCP certification required (documentation must be provided)
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required
• Travel experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established laboratory protocols
• Knowledge of infection control, hazardous waste disposal, and safety standards
