Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, days; weekdays with some weekend coverage (3-4 weekend days per month); 4:1 patient ratio; float to lower acuity units as needed

• Mixed Medical-Surgical PCU unit with 27 beds and transitional care capacity
• PCU experience is NOT required – excellent opportunity for Med-Surg nurses looking to advance
• EPIC EMR system utilized for documentation
• Diverse patient population including general medical conditions, organ failure, substance withdrawal, and behavioral health needs
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 36 hours of orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding

Requirements:

• Active Ohio RN license or valid Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• IV certification and proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience with chest tubes, PICC line management, peripheral line care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, and rapid response protocols
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking abilities
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference

Important Compliance Information:

• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing
• Candidates within driving distance of Ohio must travel to an in-state fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
• Candidates at extreme distances will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently
• Unresponsive or uncooperative candidates during credentialing are at risk of assignment cancellation
• Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6+ months to be eligible
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this location
