Description
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: West Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with flexible self-scheduling. Weekend coverage required on a variable basis. No block scheduling or on-call required. Patient ratio 1:2. 36-hour paid orientation provided.

- Work in a 181-bed children's hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with an 18-bed PICU unit
- Self-scheduling flexibility – work three consecutive shifts or split throughout the week
- Epic EMR system for streamlined documentation and patient care coordination
- One-year contract; first-time travelers welcome
- Float opportunities to Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU for varied clinical experience
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Free parking with bike racks available for staff convenience
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of PICU nursing experience required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
- Proficiency in critical pediatric skills including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, central line care, continuous sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tube management, and care of ventilated patients
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- Willingness to float between designated units as needed
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
