# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Progressive Care – South Dakota**Start Date:** October 7, 2026 **Location:** Sioux Falls, South Dakota **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and every other holiday required**Highlights:**- 30-bed medical-surgical unit with 8-bed progressive care unit providing fundamental critical care experience- Diverse patient population including pneumonia, COPD, CHF, pulmonary embolism, and complex respiratory cases- Experience with mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, moderate sedation monitoring, chest tubes, and tracheostomies- Epic EMR system with Alaris pumps and Acudose medication dispensing- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 in Progressive Care (IMC), 1:4-5 days/1:5-6 nights in Medical-Surgical- Magnet-designated facility with opportunities for committee involvement and professional development- Comprehensive orientation including competency validation, preceptor support, and unit-specific training- Flexible scheduling options available including straight nights, rotating shifts, or blocked scheduling**Requirements:**- Active RN license in South Dakota or compact state- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required- Specialty certification preferred- Experience with BiPap, CPap, Heated High Flow oxygen, oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care- Must badge in and out at facility daily- Navy blue scrubs required- Candidates who previously worked with this organization must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**Join a collaborative interdisciplinary team dedicated to patient-centered care in a supportive, family-oriented culture.
