Description
Start Date: October 1, 2026
Location: North Dakota
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts with some day shifts. Rotating weekends and holidays required. Full-time acute care setting.
Highlights:
- Comprehensive 19-bed obstetrical unit providing labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecological surgical care
- Diverse patient population including high-risk deliveries and complex postpartum cases
- Modern equipment including fetal monitoring with centralized surveillance, OBIX documentation for L&D, and Epic charting for gynecological services
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for active labor patients, 1:3 for mother/baby couplets, 1:4 for gynecological surgical patients
- Opportunity to cross-train and support newborn nursery and NICU teams as needed
- 36-hour comprehensive orientation program designed specifically for travel nurses
- Candidates with permanent addresses within 80 miles of the facility are not eligible
Requirements:
- Active RN license eligible for submission
- Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Postpartum and Gynecological surgical experience required
- Current BLS/CPR, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
- STABLE certification preferred but not required
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring and maternal-infant nursing care
- Willingness to float to newborn nursery and NICU as needed
- Flexibility to work both night and day shifts as assigned
- Must comply with facility badge requirements and navy blue scrub dress code
