Description
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights, every other weekend, every other holiday. No call required. Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 for chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant patients, 1:4-5 for standard oncology patients on days, and 1:4-6 on nights.
Highlights:
- Care for medically complex hematology/oncology patients including blood product administration, antibiotic therapy, and symptom management
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience in acute care setting with 250+ bed hospital
- EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
- 16 inpatient oncology beds on 6S and 12 hematology/bone marrow transplant beds on 7S (expansion underway with 12 additional beds)
- Comprehensive orientation including 8 hours of classroom training followed by 24-36 hours of unit-specific training
- Opportunity for chemotherapy administration for qualified and trained nurses
Requirements:
- Active RN License (North Dakota or Compact state, or willingness to obtain)
- BLS certification – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
- Experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma Center
- EPIC experience required
- Willingness to float to all medical-surgical units within the metro area as needed
- Travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Inpatient oncology experience preferred; hematology and bone marrow transplant experience a bonus
