# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Pool Registered Nurse – OhioStart Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week; weekend coverage as needed per unit staffing requirementsHighlights:

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) float pool role providing care for step-down level patients across multiple affiliated hospital locations
• Patient ratio of 3:1 across all shifts with comprehensive interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic electronic medical record system utilized throughout facilities
• Float to nearby affiliated hospitals within walking distance (approximately 5-6 minute walk); no commute required
• One-year assignment with 36 hours of orientation provided
• Up to two pre-approved time-off requests available

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of application)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency in IV starts and cardiac telemetry monitoring required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Demonstrated competency in managing complex PCU patient populations including arterial lines, central lines, cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and insulin protocols
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract acceptance
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
