Description
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Pontiac, Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Every other weekend required

- Work with modern analyzers, spectrophotometers, and advanced laboratory equipment

- Conduct chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices to determine normal and abnormal components
- Perform blood cell analysis using microscopic techniques and procedures
- Prepare blood products for transfusion including blood group typing and compatibility testing
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment including analyzers and photometers following manufacturer guidelines
- Manage laboratory inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and proper resource utilization
- Prepare detailed reports of technological findings and provide technical information to healthcare team
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards, infection control protocols, and safety procedures
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
- ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience required
- Blood bank experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Travel experience preferred
