Job Opportunity – Medical Technologist – Michigan

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: West Branch, Michigan

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time laboratory position with every other weekend rotation; no on-call requirements

Highlights:

• Perform comprehensive laboratory testing including specimen collection, processing, and analysis of biological specimens
• Work with advanced laboratory systems including Sunquest LIS and Epic EMR
• Utilize specialized equipment: Ortho Blood Bank and Chemistry, Siemens coagulation and urinalysis, Sysmex hematology
• Collaborative laboratory environment with support from phlebotomy team and opportunity to serve as backup for specimen collection
• Responsibilities include quality control evaluation, reagent inventory management, and instrument maintenance
• Position requires candidates outside the local 50-mile radius

Requirements:

• Active ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Laboratory Technologist experience required
• Proven experience with Sunquest and Epic laboratory systems
• Demonstrated proficiency with Ortho Blood Bank and Chemistry, Siemens coagulation and urinalysis analyzers, and Sysmex hematology systems
• Current skills checklist pertinent to laboratory specialty (within the last year)
• Two supervisory reference forms taken within the last two years
• Comprehensive knowledge of specimen collection procedures including venipuncture and culture collection
