Description
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day shift only, no weekends required. Choose between 4x10-hour shifts (0700-1730 or 0730-1800) or 5x8-hour shifts (0800-1630), with slight variations based on clinic needs.
Highlights:
- Specialty oncology clinic treating head and neck, sarcoma, CNS, thoracic, genitourinary, and all pediatric cancers
- Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics requiring symptom management during active treatment
- 17-room clinic with patient ratio of approximately 1:15; average daily census of 45 visits
- EPIC electronic medical records system required
- 13-week travel assignment with orientation provided (80 hours)
- First-time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of oncology clinic experience required
- EPIC charting system experience required
- BLS certification required
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- ONS/ONCC, OCN, PALS, and ACLS certifications preferred
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Skills in port access and management, central line care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and outpatient oncology preferred
- Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
- Willingness to float within the facility as needed

Important Compliance Information:
- Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start date – no exceptions
- Ohio fingerprinting required immediately upon contract signing
- Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to Ohio for fingerprinting as soon as possible after booking
- Candidates at extreme distances will receive mailed fingerprinting packets to complete urgently
- Unresponsive or uncooperative candidates with credentialing are at risk of assignment delay or cancellation
- Former employees eligible after 6 months away from the facility; current employees ineligible
- Requested time off must be submitted with application and built into contract
