Description
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 2:1 patient ratio, weekend coverage required, floating to other units as needed
Highlights:
- Work in a Level I Trauma Center and regional burn center serving a tri-state area
- Diverse case mix including trauma, transplant, burn, general surgery, plastic surgery, ENT, colorectal, orthopedic surgery, and overflow medical/neuro ICU patients
- Epic charting system (preferred experience)
- Advanced critical care environment with specialized procedures including CRRT, bedside trachs/PEGs, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, daily burn dressings, and invasive monitoring
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and radiology
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU experience strongly preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Proficiency in critical care skills including arterial line management, ventilator care, central line management, vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
- Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Ability to complete urgent credentialing requirements including Ohio fingerprinting process

Important Compliance Notes: Strict compliance deadline of the Tuesday prior to start date. Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing. Candidates must be responsive and cooperative with all credentialing requirements to avoid delays or cancellation. Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6+ months to be eligible.
