Description
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36-bed telemetry unit with average daily census of 35 patients. Patient ratio 1:4-5. Every other weekend required. Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed. Holiday coverage required per assignment length.
Highlights:
- Specialized cardiac telemetry unit treating CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular conditions
- Epic electronic medical record system required; Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols utilized
- Adult to geriatric patient population with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years RN experience
- Orientation provided with bi-weekly start schedule
- Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract (blackout dates apply for Spring Break: April 4-12)
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years registered nurse experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with patient ratios up to 1:5
- Must demonstrate competency managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration): milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin
- Proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Skills include central line management, chest tubes, feeding tubes, IV insulin protocols, PCA, post-cardiac procedures, and tracheostomy care
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
