Location: Georgia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, floating within facility as needed

Highlights:

• General Medical Surgical unit caring for adult to geriatric patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Contract duration varies with orientation hours included; first-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year experience
• Maximum 7 days requested time off permitted per contract, finalized at time of submission
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios and Epic charting system required
• Proficiency in core Med/Surg skills including IV management, wound care, blood product administration, central line care, PCA pumps, and isolation precautions
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Position Details:

• Patient care includes medical surgical diagnoses across adult and geriatric populations
• Holiday coverage required based on assignment period (work expectations increase with multiple holidays during contract)
• Full compliance required to start on time; late completion results in 2-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• All compliance documents and core items/labs must be completed within required timeframes
• All requested time off must be finalized at submission; no schedule changes permitted post-offer or onsite
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
