Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period

Highlights:

• Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac care including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre and post cath), dysrhythmias (pre and post device implants), and vascular issues
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 on a 16-bed unit serving adult to geriatric populations
• Epic EMR required with additional experience in Pyxis and SBAR systems
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract period

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; previous telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Demonstrated competency managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (without titration) including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin protocols
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Experience with central line care, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, wound care, and blood product administration
• Annual flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Full compliance documentation must be completed by Tuesday prior to start date
