Schedule: 13-week contract | Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 4 shifts per schedule period | No call requiredHighlights:- Work in a dynamic 32-bed Emergency Department with a collaborative team of nurses, medics, and patient care technicians- Manageable 4:1 patient ratio ensuring quality care delivery- Engage with diverse case mix including intubations, laceration repairs, splinting, lumbar punctures, and thrombolytic administration- Electronic Medical Record system (Meditech) supports streamlined documentation and patient care coordination- Day shift staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, and 1 PCT for optimal team support- Opportunities for permanent placement availableRequirements:- Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain prior to start date)- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required by start date- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification required by start date- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience strongly preferred- Strong team player with ability to anticipate patient and departmental needsWhy It's a Great Opportunity:Join a well-established Emergency Department team of 117 staff members dedicated to delivering exceptional emergency care in Austin.
