Schedule: 12-hour shifts; patient ratio 1:5-6 (up to 1:6 on weekends); 32-bed unit; typically every other weekend; floating within scope of practice as needed

Highlights:

• Overflow IMCU environment with diverse patient population including cardiac, pulmonary, renal, and post-procedural care
• Manage patients with arrhythmias, CHF, chest pain, DKA, post-cardiac cath, DVT/PE, and select surgical patients
• Epic EMR (preferred), Pyxis, SBAR communication; telemetry competency required
• Experience required with continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract; all time off must be finalized at submission

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Demonstrated experience managing continuous cardiac drips, anticoagulants, diuretics, and insulin infusions
• Strong arrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Experience with TR bands, post-cardiac cath care, central line management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficiency in medical-surgical nursing fundamentals
• Full compliance required prior to start date; delays may result in two-week pushback
