Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekdays with every other weekend rotation; 36 or 48 hours per week options available

Highlights:

• 8-bed Intermediate Care Unit caring for a variety of complex medical patients including respiratory issues, DKA, arrhythmias, post-operative kidney transplant patients, and interventional neurological patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 3:1 for IMC, 4:1 for Med/Surg observation
• Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 855 staffed beds
• Cerner electronic medical record system
• Block schedule requests may be accommodated; discuss during interview
• Flexible time-off requests; no RTO restrictions when discussed during interview

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of in-specialty experience (IMC, PCU, or ICU)
• Strong IMC and/or ICU background with telemetry experience
• West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission, but active license required to start)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be AHA-certified)
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption provided
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility (75-99 miles may be considered)
