Description
Start Date: November 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 18:45-07:15, 36-48 hours per week available, every other weekend required

- Work with adult and geriatric populations across all mental health diagnoses in an inpatient locked unit setting
- 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including therapy teams, pharmacy, and 24/7 clinical nursing support
- Epic EMR system with modern patient monitoring technology including ObservSmart proximity-based safety tools
- 13+ week contract assignments available with 32 hours of orientation provided
- Comprehensive care environment spanning multiple acuity levels with dedicated psychiatric technicians for milieu management
- First-time travelers welcome; opportunity to gain extensive behavioral health experience
Requirements:
- Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- BLS certification current and valid
- MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) or CPI certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with inpatient behavioral health, locked units, and substance use/chemical dependency
- Proficiency in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and managing assaultive behavior
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications including antipsychotics, antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and antianxiety medications
- Experience with physical hold protocols, seclusion procedures, and emergent chemical restraints
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
