Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 1:1 patient ratios; 36-hour orientation provided; may be required to float to antepartum and other units as needed

Highlights:

• High-volume Level 4 Labor & Delivery unit with approximately 450 deliveries per month
• Epic charting system experience required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Work with diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Two approved time-off periods available during assignment
• Multiple parking options available with shuttle service to facility

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced)
• Epic charting system experience required
• IV start proficiency required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

Essential Skills:

• Antepartum and postpartum care, vaginal delivery, cesarean section support
• High-risk antepartum care and pregnancy-induced hypertension management
• Fetal heart monitoring (external and internal), IUPC placement and calibration
• Magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, epidural anesthesia support
• Postpartum hemorrhage management, triage of obstetrical patients
• Blood and blood product administration, central line maintenance
• Breastfeeding and lactation support
