Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; float within facility as needed per scope of practice; holiday coverage required based on assignment period

Highlights:

• ICU setting with diverse critical care patient population including ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GI bleed, COPD exacerbation, and ESRD on CRRT
• Patient ratio typically 1:2, with potential for 1:3 assignment as needed
• 24-bed unit with average daily census of 19 patients serving adult to geriatric populations
• Epic electronic medical record system with Pyxis medication management
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Contract allows maximum 7 days requested time off; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state) required at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• Proficiency in care of ventilated patients, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, CVA/acute stroke care, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Experience with CRRT, suctioning (ETT/NT), and critical care equipment including cardiac monitoring, IABP, and FloTrac
• Full compliance documentation required to start on time; incomplete compliance results in two-week postponement
