Schedule: 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 32-bed progressive care unit. Typically every other weekend coverage with flexible scheduling. Maximum 7 days RTO per contract. Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed.

Highlights:

• Overflow IMCU specializing in arrhythmia management, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal, and pulmonary conditions
• Manage critical IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), anticoagulants, diuretics, and insulin drips
• Epic EMR preferred with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Diverse patient population including post-cardiac cath, cardioversion, DKA, surgical overflow, and occasional vascular patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
• 36 hours of paid orientation with telemetry competency exam and specialty-specific module training

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; prior travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience managing continuous IV medications: cardiac drips, anticoagulants, diuretics, and insulin drips
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation and management, TR bands, and post-cardiac cath care
• Experience with central lines, PICC lines, port access, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and blood product administration
• Strong med-surg foundation with ability to manage adult to geriatric patient populations
