Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Operating Room – Pennsylvania

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Five 8-hour evening shifts per week, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM. On-call coverage required, including approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend call rotations per schedule period. No regular weekend shift requirement. Floating within scope and between like units required based on facility needs.

Highlights:

• 14-room Operating Room serving adult and geriatric patients at a Level I trauma center
• Broad surgical case mix including General OR, Neuro, Orthopedic, Vascular, and Transplant procedures
• High-acuity and trauma surgical environment with diverse procedural experience including total joint replacements, spinal procedures, craniotomy, vascular bypass, and transplant cases
• Common procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic surgery, thyroidectomy, Whipple procedures, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula repair, and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
• Cerner charting system in use; scrubs provided by the facility
• Comprehensive orientation provided with 40 hours of onboarding

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Strong documented experience in General OR, Total Joint procedures, Neuro cases, Transplant procedures, and Vascular surgery required
• Experience with high-acuity and trauma surgical cases expected
• Current BLS, TNCC, and PATNCC certifications required
• Valid professional references and certification copies required
• Must complete PA fingerprints and childline clearance within required timeframes
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete required laboratory work within 48 hours of contract signing
