● About Facility:
• Address: 140 Academy Street, Presque Isle, Maine
• Beds: 89 Licensed Beds
• Teaching Facility
● General Information:
• Imaging Rooms
▪ Nuc Med: 3 rooms (Gamma Camera, Stress Room, PET CT)
• Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Yes – would prefer more
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
● Patient Types:
• ED, Outpatient, Inpatient
• DEXA scans, Cardiac scans, Stress Rest tests, HIDA scans, Renal scans, Bone scans, PET CT
● Patients seen in a day (average per day):
• 8-10 per day; when switched to do PET CT’s can only do 5/day
● Required Licensure and Certifications:
• BLS
• NMTCB or ARRT (NM) required
• Dosimeter (Dose reader badge) required
• ME State license
● Skills required:
• Experience with above scans
● Support on the Unit:
• Lead Tech
• 2 techs on per shift
• Internal Transport
• Radiologist on site
● Technology/Equipment:
• EMR: Cerner
• PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
• Equipment used:
▪ Siemens dual head camera
▪ GE IQ PET CT
● Floating:
• Fixed location
● Orientation:
• 2 weeks of orientation; dependent on skillset/comfort level
● Scheduling:
• No weekends
• No call required
• Holiday Expectations: None
• RTO: Manager Approval
• Schedules:
▪ Techs will rotate start times between 0530-0600 or 0700
▪ 8-10 hr. days, depending on schedule that day
● Other notes:
• Scrub Color: any solid color as long as professional, or provided by facility if needed
• Parking: Free
