Job Description: Respiratory Therapist\n\nOverview: A Respiratory Therapist (RT) is a healthcare professional trained in diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory issues. They work in a variety of medical settings, including hospitals, clinics, home care, and rehabilitation centers. Respiratory Therapists are skilled in using equipment like ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other devices to assist patients with breathing difficulties.\n\nCommon Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nPatient Assessment: Evaluate patients with breathing difficulties or cardiopulmonary issues by reviewing their medical history, conducting physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood gases, chest X-rays, and pulmonary function tests.\n\nRespiratory Care: Administer treatments to improve breathing, such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, chest physiotherapy, and inhalation therapy (e.g., nebulizer treatments).\n\nEquipment Management: Set up and monitor equipment like ventilators, oxygen tanks, CPAP machines, and other respiratory devices.
