Hospice RN Job Details

Location: Memphis, TN (Zip: 38134) – Tennessee healthcare jobs
Setting: Hospice Home Health
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing

End Date: April 27, 2026
Duration: 13-week contract
Schedule: Day shifts, Monday-Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm) or Monday-Thursday (8:00am – 6:30pm)
Hours per Week: 40
On-Call & Weekend: As needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state license (NLC guidelines)
Minimum 2 years of recent hospice or home health RN experience (3+ years preferred)
At least 1 completed previous travel nurse assignment
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Cerner charting experience preferred
Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
All credentials must be current; pending licenses not accepted

Hospice RN Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate hospice care and clinical support to patients in their homes, focusing on comfort and quality of life
Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom management, and available resources
Accurately document all patient interactions and care provided in the electronic health record
Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as needed
Float between similar units and campuses within 20 miles, if required
