- Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab / EP Lab nurse
- Location: Syracuse, NY 13203 (Central New York) — Syracuse nursing jobs / travel nursing jobs Syracuse NY
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (February 22, 2026 – May 23, 2026)
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
- Shift: Varied shifts: 4x10-hour days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) and 5x8-hour days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,720 – $2,870
- On-Site: Yes
- Electronic Health Record: Epic EMR
- Schedule Notes: No weekends, no holidays, no call — ideal for work-life balance
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license: New York State RN or active compact RN license (as applicable)
- Electrophysiology (EP) Lab RN experience required (EP Lab nurse, cardiac cath lab experience preferred)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Proficient with telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to complete onboarding health and compliance requirements (immunizations, background check, drug screen, etc.)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and procedural nursing skills; familiarity with device management (pacemaker/ICD) and ablation support a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures and cardiac rhythm management interventions
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after EP lab procedures, including telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring
- Support device implantation (pacemaker/ICD) and catheter ablation procedures as indicated
- Collaborate with electrophysiologists, cardiology staff, technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document all care, procedural details, and patient assessments accurately and promptly in Epic EMR
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient EP Lab environment, adhering to sterile technique and infection control protocols
- Follow hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practices for EP Lab nursing
