- Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Location: Wichita, KS
- Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery (26-bed unit) at a hospital in Wichita, KS
- Start Date: 03/16/2026
- End Date: 06/15/2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel / Contract

Job Requirements (Labor & Delivery RN)
- Experience: 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (intrapartum)
- Required Skills: Circulating C-sections (Cesarean sections)
- Preferred: High-risk LDR experience
- License/Certification: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license requirements apply)
- Clinical Comfort: High-acuity patient ratios (e.g., 1:1 for high-risk labor/C-sections)
Responsibilities (Obstetric Nursing / L&D)
- Provide comprehensive intrapartum nursing care, including assessment, continuous fetal monitoring, maternal monitoring, and patient/family education
- Circulate and support operative deliveries, including C-sections, in collaboration with OB providers and anesthesia
- Manage and monitor high-risk obstetric patients (e.g., magnesium therapy, PPROM, PTL) and escalate changes in condition appropriately
- Assist with common Labor & Delivery procedures such as inductions, AROM, IUPC placement support, Doppler assessments, and management of fetal heart rate decelerations
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including unit leadership and OB hospitalist support
- Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
