- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
- Employment Type: Travel Mammography Technologist / On-site Rad Tech
- Hours per Week: 40
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Primary Shifts: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00–16:30 and 11:30–20:00); possible weekend shifts 07:00–15:00; variable weekday shifts 07:00–17:00
- Weekend/Evening Coverage: Willingness to work weekdays, weekends, and some evening shifts (variable based on unit needs)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,440 – $2,620
Job Requirements (Mammography Technologist / Rad Tech)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent mammography technologist experience required for submission; experience with screening and diagnostic mammography preferred
- Licensure: Active California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required at time of submission
- Certifications: ARRT (R) required; ARRT Mammography preferred; BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) required
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with needle localizations, stereotactic biopsy, 3D mammography (Hologic 3D), diagnostic and digital mammograms, and screening mammograms
- Charting / RIS/PACS: Epic experience required; accurate image labeling and documentation skills essential
- Pre-employment: Must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing; 7-year work history verification and two references from the last year required
- Other: Only one holiday off approved during contract; must meet 50-mile travel requirement if applicable
Responsibilities (Breast Imaging Technologist / Rad Tech)
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams, ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety
- Operate and optimize advanced mammography equipment, including 3D/tomosynthesis systems (Hologic 3D)
- Assist radiologists with breast imaging procedures such as needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and image labeling in Epic and other imaging systems
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver efficient, patient-centered imaging services
- Follow infection prevention protocols, radiation safety guidelines, and department policies
- Support flexible scheduling needs, including weekends and occasional evening shifts
