• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Critical Care Nurse / Cardiac ICU RN
• Location: Nashville, TN 37203 (Midtown/Downtown Nashville — music, dining, and vibrant city life)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1650
• Start Date: March 16, 2026
• End Date: June 15, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Unit: CCU / Cardiac Critical Care (32 beds, typical 2:1 patient ratio)
• Employment Type: Travel RN, W2

Job Requirements – ICU / Cardiac Nursing Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience with documented cardiac ICU skills (cardiac experience required)
• Active RN license (state requirements apply)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills: PA catheter (Swan-Ganz), hemodynamic interpretation
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support: IABP and Impella required; CRRT experience preferred
• Comfortable assisting with central line placement and intubations
• Ability to float to other critical care areas based on unit census
• Adhere to unit dress code: scrubs in galaxy blue, red, or black; scrub jackets/vests only

Responsibilities – Critical Care and Cardiac Nursing

• Deliver high-quality critical care to cardiac and cardiogenic shock patients in a busy CCU / Cardiac ICU
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, continuous telemetry monitoring, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Manage advanced cardiac devices (IABP, Impella) and support CRRT therapy as needed
• Assist with central line and Swan-Ganz catheter insertions and support airway management/intubations
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and escalate clinical changes promptly
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, and student nurse externs
• Promote excellent patient and family experience through clear communication, education, and compassionate care
• Follow all safety, infection prevention, and hospital/unit policies and protocols
