Job Details

• Location: Largo, FL 33770 – Tampa Bay / Pinellas County, close to Gulf Coast beaches
• Setting: Hospital – Main campus, 1st floor, Respiratory Therapy Unit (290-bed hospital)
• Start Date: December 30, 2025
• End Date: March 31, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (Travel Contract)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — Night shift RRT role
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Contract

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,220 - $1,310 per week

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in an acute care or hospital setting (hospital respiratory therapist)
• Strong critical care and ventilator management skills — experience with Servo and 840 ventilators preferred
• Proficiency with ventilator settings, weaning protocols, and ventilator troubleshooting
• Excellent assessment, ABG interpretation, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across a 290-bed hospital (hospital respiratory therapist duties)
• Manage ventilators, perform critical care interventions, and support intubations
• Deliver nebulizer treatments, perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling from A-lines and sticks
• Assist during codes, rapid responses, and emergency airway management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Float as needed to psych/rehab and other units—flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and comply with hospital policies
