• Location: Morgantown, WV (ZIP 26506) — Morgantown nursing jobs, West Virginia travel nursing
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Role: Travel Registered Nurse (RN), Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry Nurse
• Setting: 7 East Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient Unit (Stepdown & Floor)
• Unit Size: 30–33 beds (12–15 Floor, 18 Stepdown)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights; weekend nights (Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Charting System: EPIC (electronic health record experience preferred)
• Patient Ratios: 1:6 (Floor), 1:3 (Stepdown)

Key Qualifications — Cardiac Stepdown RN / Telemetry Nurse

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure assistance available; compact license holders encouraged to apply)
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 1 year recent acute care nursing experience (stepdown, cardiac telemetry, trauma, or general surgery preferred)
• Experience with complex wound care, drains, chest tubes, IV therapy, and respiratory support devices
• Ability to read and validate cardiac monitor strips and identify arrhythmias (telemetry monitoring)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Willingness to float between floor and stepdown units; flexibility and strong teamwork skills required

Responsibilities — Travel RN, Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based cardiac stepdown and telemetry nursing care to trauma, bariatric, cardiac, and general surgery patients
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring, validate cardiac rhythms, and escalate changes per protocol
• Manage complex wound care, drains, chest tubes, IV therapy, and respiratory support devices
• Coordinate care for patients with traumatic injuries, TBI, and spinal cord injuries alongside multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with care management, surgical and medical services, rehabilitation, and perioperative teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to similar units as needed and function as a flexible, team-oriented travel RN or telemetry nurse
• Document accurately and timely in EPIC and adhere to unit protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
