Med/Surg Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Night Shift in Memphis, TN (38104). Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,230 - $1,300
• Location: Memphis, TN 38104 (Memphis nursing jobs, Tennessee LPN jobs)
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
• Unit: 8 NORTH (Medical Surgical)
• Shift: Night Shift (3x12-Hour, 19:00 - 07:00)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel nursing assignment)
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• Patient Ratio: 1:7 (team nursing with support from PCC, RN, etc.)
• Weekend & On-Call: As needed
• Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility

Job Requirements

• IV Certified (firm requirement)
• Active LPN license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC guidelines)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg LPN experience (3+ years preferred)
• At least 1 completed previous travel assignment (travel nursing experience required)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Pending licenses not accepted

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
• Monitor and manage IVs, telemetry, and dysrhythmias
• Participate in team nursing, supporting a patient ratio of 1:7
• Float as needed within similar units
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting
• Adhere to facility policies and compliance requirements
• Be flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed
